This is the source of the wiki page Template:Fn note.

Usage:

— an Original-transcript footnote DEFINITION,

one line per note, emitted as a contiguous run where the document printed its footnote block. This run is the AUTHORITATIVE note text: the deriver (tools/doc_archive/output/original_derive.py) reconstructs the Original .md's <footnotes><fn id="4">…</fn></footnotes> block from these lines, and ^{{{1}}} tooltips are regenerated from them on republish. Correct note text HERE. Styling in MediaWiki:Common.css (.ed-fn-note).
