🛡️ Coliseum Reinsurance Company is a Delaware-incorporated reinsurance company (NAIC 36552) originally formed in September 1978 as Gamma Reinsurance Company and subsequently renamed several times — to AXA Reinsurance Company in 1989 and AXA Corporate Solutions Reinsurance Company in 2000 — before adopting its current name.[1] The company ceased underwriting new and renewal business in the fourth quarter of 2002 and has since administered an orderly run-off strategy, with operations managed through an affiliated services agreement.
