🛡️ AXA Life Europe dac is an Irish designated activity company (company number 410727) headquartered at Wolfe Tone House, Dublin, and authorised by the Central Bank of Ireland as a life insurance undertaking under licence number C40479.[1] A direct subsidiary of AXA SA, the company operates on a cross-border basis within AXA's Life and Savings segment, managing in-force portfolios of unit-linked and savings-related life assurance products across Germany, Spain, Italy, Portugal, France, and the United Kingdom; it is currently closed to new business and in run-off.[2] For the year ended 31 December 2024, the company reported gross written premiums of €182 million, a net loss of €214 million, and a solvency ratio (SCR coverage) of 273%, with eligible own funds to meet the SCR of €566 million.[1] In December 2022, the Central Bank of Ireland imposed a €3.64 million fine and reprimand on the company for failures in corporate governance, risk management, and handling of conflicts of interest.[3] The entity was formerly known as AXA Life Europe Limited.[4]
