KiwiBot (Kiwi the wiki)
KiwiBot
KiwiBot (also known as Kiwi the Wiki) is the chatbot of InsurerBrain. Launched in March 2026, KiwiBot is a customer-facing assistant that helps users find and understand information from the InsurerBrain wiki library.
What KiwiBot does
KiwiBot answers user questions through a chat interface. It reads pages stored in the InsurerBrain knowledge base and provides responses drawn directly from that content. Its purpose is to make the library's insurance knowledge more accessible by allowing users to ask questions in plain language rather than searching manually.
Technology and cost
KiwiBot is powered by OpenAI technology. Its running cost is based on OpenAI API token usage, meaning the cost scales with the volume and complexity of the questions it handles.
Current capabilities
As of March 2026, KiwiBot can:
- Read medium-length wiki pages and answer questions about their content.
- Operate in both a fast mode for quick answers and a thinking mode for more detailed reasoning.
Planned development
The first major upgrade is planned for the end of March 2026. This upgrade will allow KiwiBot to read ultra-long articles and will introduce enhanced reasoning capabilities, expanding the range and depth of questions it can handle.
